Hi! My name is Štěpán Jabůrek. I am a PhD student at the Institute of Political Studies at Charles University in Prague and a researcher within Horizon ENSURED.

In my dissertation, I research how domestic political incentives shape elite communication and behavior towards global economic governance and international economic cooperation more broadly.

With my co-authors I also study how authoritarian legacies affect ideological debates - specifically, whether “left” and “right” carry (a)symmetric connotations across European political contexts.

Methodologically, I specialize in quantitative political science, especially Natural Language Processing (NLP) and statistical modelling (slowly turning Bayesian).
